Last night in London kilts and headdresses collided as two very distinct worlds united. It’s hard to imagine there has ever been a more amusingly incongruous marriage than Scotland and Brazil. Certainly the marketing minds behind Ballantine’s Brasil have been having fun with the idea. The launch's accompanying cocktail creations include the Highland Samba and the Glen Coco.
Peter Moore, international brand director for Ballantine’s said: “The exclusive blend caters to those consumers who trade up when purchasing gifts and products to enjoy over the festive period.”
Ballantine’s Christmas Reserve is presented in a white box, decorated with snowflakes and gold foil.
The 40%abv whisky comes in 70cl bottles, priced approximately $37 depending on the market.
The 2011 launch follows the inaugral seasonal edition in 2010.
