Pernod Ricard makes board change

Pernod Ricard’s board of directors have co-opted Laurent Burelle to replace Lord Douro, who has resigned from his duties for personal reasons.

2007/08 full-year sales: € 6,589 million

The appointment of Laurent Burelle will be subject to approval by the annual general meeting, to be held on November 15.

Burelle, a 61-year old French national, has spent his entire career with Compagnie Plastic Omnium, where since 2001 he has operated as chairman and chief executive officer.

He is also a director of Lyonnaise de Banque, Labruyère Eberlé and Fondation Jacques Chirac.
