Pernod sets up wine division

Following a strategic review of its global operations, Pernod Ricard has confirmed that its key international wine properties will be grouped and managed under one business – Premium Wine Brands.

The company will be headquartered in Sydney.

Premium Wine Brands is to include Jacob’s Creek, Brancott Estate (formerly Montana), Campo Viejo and Graffigna. Other brands include Stoneleigh, Wyndham Estate and Etchart.

Premium Wine Brands will be responsible for the global brand and portfolio strategies, as well as technical coordination, including production, viticulture and supply chain.

Chairman and chief executive of Premium Wine Brands, Jean-Christophe Coutures said: “The creation of Premium Wine Brands not only allows us to offer a world class range of well known brands but also share best practice learnings that allows us to play to our strengths, whilst exploring and developing new opportunities.

”We now have a complimentary portfolio of premium wine brands representing the signature varieties for each country - Australian Shiraz, Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand, Malbec from Argentina and Tempranillo from Spain.”

Premium Wine Brands will work with Pernod Ricard distributor network globally.
