Jack Daniel's price could rise 10% in EU

27 June, 2018

Brown-Foreman believes the price of Jack Daniel's whiskey will increase by around 10% in the EU due to import tariffs imposed by Donald Trump.

The EU announced a 25% increase on income tariffs for American whiskey last week in retaliation to the Trump Administration’s own tariffs on European aluminium and steel.

Brown-Foreman announced on Monday that this could cause a 10% price increase once EU distributors’ stocks run low at the end of Summer.

Although each EU market will vary in price point, Brown-Foreman makes a quarter of its revenues in Europe.
