Bar Convent Berlin kicks off with global drinks forum

A conference on the future of the drinks business will preceed Bar Convent Berlin 2016 in October.

The organisers say the forum is scheduled to run for 10:00 to 18:00 on October 10 at the Ellington Hotel, Berlin The programme will be held in English. Following that, at 19:30, there will be a networking event with a closing dinner, where participants will get yet another chance to network.

Reed Exhibitions says the forum will present business ideas and best practices for the beverage industry. Speakers include such as the 86 Co managing director Simon Ford, Bacardi global advocacy director Jacob Briars and beverage and bartender community pioneer and founder of P(OUR) Alex Kratena.

Apparently, they will reveal exclusive ‘backstage’ insights into the industry. In addition, Mark de Witte, CEO of De Kuyper Royal Distillers, Dan Gasper co-founder and COO of Distill Ventures, and Jonathan Downey, said to be one of the most outspoken voices of the food and beverage industry, will be available to share their expertise and best practices with the participants.

Bar Convent Berlin will take place at Station Berlin on October 11/12.
