Organisers from London Wine Fair 2016 have announced there will be over 400 grape varieties showcased at the event.

Among the more unusual varieties to be showcased are Okuzgozu, Vidiano and Weißer Herold.

Wine producing countries exhibiting wines this year include Czech Republic, Ecuador, Luxembourg, Mexico and Slovenia, alongside more familiar ones such as Italy and France.

Wineries from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Russia and Ukraine will also be taking part in the fair this year.

Ross Carter, event director, said: “This year the fair has the most content; the largest number of regions taking part; the highest number of grape varieties recorded.”

The London Wine Fair is from 3rd-5th May.
