International Spirits Challenge: the results

Crème de Cassis de Dijon Gabriel Boudier was named Supreme Champion at the International Spirits Challenge awards ceremony last night.

The event, held at the Honorable Artillery Company in London, was attended by around 250 distillers, blenders, cellar masters, journalists and drinks trade professionals.

The supreme champion was selected after a re-tasting of the 24 Trophy winning spirits and liqueurs.

Trophy winners, (download the full list here) were chosen from over 1,000 spirits and liqueurs that had been blind-tasted by ISC judges.

Suntory scooped the coveted Distiller of the Year award for the second year running. The whisky producer won a total of nine medals in the ISC 2013.

The Outstanding Contribution award was picked up by recently retired Irish Distillers master distiller Barry Crockett.

Individual Distillery of the Year went to St Lucia Distillers, which took five ISC awards.
