International Beverage Holdings to get new president

Barrie Jackson, president of International Beverage Holdings, is to step down from his position, after four years.

Jackson will continue in a part-time position as advisor to the board.

International Beverage Holdings, a wholly owned subsidiary of Thai Beverage Public Company, includes brands like Chang Beer, Mekhong, Old Pulteney, Balblair, anCnoc, Speyburn and Hankey Bannister.

The role of president of International Beverage Holdings will be filled by the president of Thai Beverage, Thapana Sirivadhanabhakdi.

Jackson is credited with delivering achievements that include the growth of its whisky portfolio via its wholly owned subsidiary Inver House Distillers. The subsidiary announced an increase of 96 per cent in May 2009.

Jackson will remain in his full time position until the end of the year before taking up his part-time role.

Jackson said: “I am very pleased to be handing over the business at such a successful time in its development. I am confident that our team will continue to see rapid growth as they take the business forward. I look forward to advising the board to help it achieve its goals in the future.”
