Mr Lyan is hosting a takeover of Sea Containers in London to celebrate 10 years since the opening of the company’s first venue.

Simone Caporale’s Sips, named No.3 on The World’s 50 Best Bars 2022, and Boadas Bar are heading to the Donovan Bar in Mayfair, London, for a two-night takeover sponsored by Amaro Santoni this September.

Sydney-based brewing group, Lion, has completed its takeover of Australian spirits producer Four Pillars for an undisclosed sum. 

Cocktail bar Oriole, currently a resident at the mezzanine ‘Albie’ at The Hoxton, Southwark, London, is hosting Mexico City’s Baltra Bar, currently No. 32 in The World’s 50 Best Bars, on Wednesday 31 May and Thursday 1 June for a two-night takeover. 

This summer, bar brand Callooh Callay will be taking over 20 bars across 20 consecutive days in July, the first nationwide bar takeover rally in the UK.

Parisian bar Little Red Door has announced a takeover at London’s Eve Bar, situated underneath Adam Handling’s Michelin-starred Frog on Thursday 7 July.

Award-winning Parisian cocktail bar Le Syndicat has announced a series of takeovers by London’s Silverleaf and Mexico City’s Hanky Panky to coincide with the Cocktail Spirits show.

The board of Foster’s Group has recommended to its shareholders that an improved takeover offer by SABMiller is accepted.

SABMiller has proposed to make a conditional, off-market, cash takeover offer for all of the issued shares in Foster’s Group. 

Foster's has rejected a takeover bid from SABMiller. Foster's Group said that it received an "unsolicited, incomplete, non-binding and conditional proposal" from SABMiller to acquire all of the shares in Foster's via a scheme of arrangement at a price of $4.90 per share in cash.
