Bacardi announces new regional president

Bacardi has announced Robert Furniss-Roe will leave his role as regional president of Bacardi North America in September.  

Peter Carr, 48, has been named as Furniss-Roe’s successor.

Carr will be responsible for leading all commercial operations in the region and become a member of the Bacardi Global Leadership Team, reporting to CEO Michael Dolan.

Carr has nearly 25 years of experience in the beverage industry, most recently as executive vice president for privately held Glazer’s Distributors, one of the country’s largest distributors of wine, spirits and malt beverages. Prior to Glazer’s, Carr held senior management roles with Diageo.

During his 25-year tenure with the company, Furniss-Roe, 50, served as regional president of Latin America; vice president and head of global sales; Bacardi Limited chief of staff; vice president of corporate responsibility and interim regional president of the Europe, Middle East & Africa Region.
