The Pernod Ricard team were in London today (February 18) to flesh on the bones for their half year interim results which were announced last week.
The vodka is created from Dankowskie Diamond Rye, a superior “baker’s grade” rye, grown on a small number of farms in Poland’s Mazovia region. The grain’s lower starch content and resultant lower yields allows its rich, full-flavored, rye characteristics to be “fully and uniquely expressed in the raw spirit”.
The matt black bottle with gold detail has been created to appeal to its target market - affluent male consumers.
The 40%abv vodka is to be targeted at high-end bars and members’ clubs as well as ‘luxury retailers’.
