'World’s hottest chilli vodka' launches

20 January, 2012

Online retailer and spirits bottler Master of Malt claims to have launched the world’s hottest chilli vodka.

The vodka, named 100,000 Scovilles – Naga Chilli Vodka,  is an infusion of vodka with Naga Jolokia - a chilli rated on the scovilles scale as being one of the world’s hottest .

According to Master of Malt, the vodka is not intended to be drunk neat, with each bottle complete with a “lengthy warning”.

Instead, the retailer recommends it is consumed “sparingly to add spice to exotic cocktails, or even in cooking”.

The 70cl bottle is priced at £31.95 and carries an abv of 40% ABV.
